Service Providers & Payment Methods

General terms

• Service Provider - A partner company that operates payment services (eg: banks, fintechs etc)
• Payment Method - A specific way that enables a payment service to be operated through a payment link. A payment method has a set of attributes defined below.

Interface Env

Specifies the type of environment in which the payment service is deployed by the payment provider:

• sandbox - An isolated playground for experimentation and testing. No real transactions are processed.
• stage - Live environment for real transactions with certain restrictions (eg: amount limits). May also point to a future version of the service which has not yet been promoted to production by the payment provider. Use a 'stage' payment method for pre-production testing.
• prod - Live environment for real transactions. Points to the latest stable version of the payment service.

Remitter Type

Specifies the type of user allowed/supported by the payment service:

• corporate - Business entities
• retail - Individual customers

Interface Type

The type of programming interface used by FinqLink to interact with the payment service:

• psd2_api - Open Banking API, payment initiation

Payment Scheme

The network or system used for processing payments. Specific to each country covered by FinqLink:

• ro_domestic - The standard payment rails used by banks in Romania for domestic payments

Transfer Type

The type of transfer supported by the payment method:

• single_transfer - Single immediate transfer between two parties
